In 2005, she began working with the Fox News Channel in general tasks. A few years later, she was promoted to anchor for Fox Report Weekend. Julie Banderas, in her professional career to date has covered several significant issues such as the hurricane Dennis and the disappearance of US college student Natalee Holoway. The award was presented to her as the Outstanding Single Newscast Emmy Award (2004) for her coverage regarding the Republican National Convention. An outspoken journalist she drew the attention of international media when she blasted the US president Donald Trump for his derogatory remarks about a TV anchor.
