Jennifer Lopez is a Puerto Rican-born actress. She was born on September 29, 1969, into an ethnically Puerto Rican family. Lopez took dance lessons throughout her youth as a teenager, and when she turned 16 she made her film debut with a small character on the film My Little Girl (1986). In 1991 she got her breakthrough role as a performer in the television show In Living Color. Lopez played the role of a police officer confused on Shades of Blue, a law enforcement procedural (2016-2018). She played a comic character on Second Act, a comedy about a woman who gets offered a coveted job in the Manhattan law firm by her friends after they embellished her resume. Lopez became part of the predominantly female cast for Hustlers in the year 2019, a movie that follows strippers as they plot against their wealthy clientele. Lopez was a part of two 2022 comedies with a marital theme. When she discovers that her husband was cheating on her she wed the math teacher who was at the concert.
